COIN NECKLACE MAKING WORKSHOP
With me and the cats in the shed. (Max 2 people)
Come and join me in my shed for a coin necklace making workshop, and learn how to make your own repurposed coin pendant, which you’ll take home with you at the end of the session.
I have three different workshops, of different levels, depending on how much you would like to learn.
There is a slight discount if you book for two people.
Once you’ve purchased the workshop, we can arrange a date and time that suits you. Alternatively, contact me before to discuss the date and time you would like.
At the start of each workshop, over some tea, we will sit together to pick out your spirit animal from a beautiful deck of cards with some light reflection on the wisdom your card offers you. You can then choose to pick a coin from my collection with that animal on, or alternatively you may pick out any coin from my collection of animal and nature coins you feel drawn to. You are also more than welcome to bring any coin of your own that you would like to turn into a pendant.
Tea, coffee and biscuits (vegan) will be freely available during the workshop.
There will also be a heater or a fan, if and when we need it.
WORKSHOP CLASSES
Level 1
2 hour class
(Depending on experience and how many per class – max 2 people)
During this workshop you will make your coin pendant by piercing a hole in it.
You will learn:
- How to pierce a hole into the coin.
- How to sand the coin- remove any letters/numbers.
- How to apply a hammered texture.
- How to finish, polish and finally add a sterling silver chain (provided)
Level 2
3 hour class
(Depending on experience and how many per class – max 2 people)
During this workshop you will make your coin pendant by soldering on a bail (loop)
I will show you the basics of soldering and you will be able to watch me while I solder your coin pendant.
You will learn:
- How to sand the coin.
- How to hammer texture onto your coin.
- You will be shown soldering techniques.
- How to finish, polish and add a sterling silver chain (provided).
* Please bring your own lunch.
Level 3
4 hour class
(Depending on experience and how many per class – max 2 people)
During this workshop you will make your coin pendant from start to finish, learning all the techniques from Level 2, plus you can have a go at soldering the coin yourself.
You will learn:
- How to sand your coin.
- How to hammer textures.
- How to solder.
- How to finish, polish and add a chain (provided).
