Wild Mother Pendant

Inspired by the words and stories of Clarissa Pinkola Este’s ‘Women Who Run With Wolves.’

Wild Mother represents feeling into your intuition. Taking control of whats coming up, and not letting life take control of you. Letting go of that ‘Too Good Mother’ within us, the one that has kept us safe, but doesn’t allow for development. The one that brings us to crumble in the darkness, afraid to be without security or uncertainty for even a short time.

‘Wild Mother’ is a loving mother within, but also fierce and demanding. Wild Mother requires you to let go of the attitudes of the psyche which no longer sustain you. Taking the task of being on one’s own, developing one’s own consciousness about danger. Becoming alert by oneself, for oneself.

And as the ‘Too Good Mother’ dies, a new wild woman is born.

MATERIAL INFORMATION

Measurements: 3.1 cm width / 3.8 cm length (including bail loop)

The Wild Mother pendant was originally handmade using an old Indian coin, together with hand stamped recycled silver. It has then been moulded and cast from recycled sterling silver or brass.

ETHICS

The metals are recycled so that no unnecessary mining has taken place which can be harmful to the environment. Each gemstone is sourced from mines where working conditions for the miners are as safe and environmentally friendly as possible, with no child labour. We work closely with our suppliers to maintain an ethical and sustainable brand and our suppliers work closely with the gemstone miners.

GIFTING

Each piece of Boodi jewellery is beautifully presented in branded black and gold recycled and recyclable gift boxes with acid free recycled tissue paper. We are proudly plastic free.
